Empirical study accompanying the pilot phase and the second run of the project “Parental work of Caritas Salzburg”, which has been implemented since October 2018 within the framework of the learning cafés in the city of Salzburg.

The ifz supports the Archdiocese of Salzburg in the implementation and analysis of an online survey.

What does the residential environment mean for its residents, in terms of their social coexistence?

The “Social Mapping”-project was successfully completed in autumn 2015. The final report “The Social Landscape in Austria” (only available in german) can be ordered from us free of charge.

In cooperation with Caritas Austria, the ifz investigated the relationship between the good life and work and what conditions and threats exist in this context.

The project focused on people and their needs (people in need of care, their relatives and carers).

How do doctors, nurses, patients and relatives cope with everyday life in a hospital?

How do active and former politicians in Austria deal with their own values, ideals and needs?

The EU research project aimed to give impulses for a more solidarity-based and inclusive European Union. In Salzburg, we researched the topic of unemployment among older people.

How can communities cope with catastrophes, tragedies, and crises?

Commissioned by the Austrian Bishop’s Conference, the ifz develops a basis for making decisions that lead towards gender equality in the Catholic Church.

Academic supervision of five regional women’s forums in the Archdiocese of Salzburg.

A one-year accompanying study of four communal housing projects for senior citizens involving more than 60 residents in the City of Salzburg.

Social Collaboration in Companies and Humane Institutions.

How do people perceive environmental change in their everyday lives and what feelings does this trigger in them? What do they think about how society deals with it and how do they judge climate policy?

We are exploring the narrative of crisis that currently dominates discourses on migration and integration in EU countries.

Over the last years, many people have fled to Austria – in the hope of finding refuge, safety, and humane living conditions. How can we succeed in welcoming them well into our society?

We support and evaluate the implementation of the “worth living”-project, the aim of which is improved suicide prevention in 13 schools in Salzburg.

We support the project launched by ASVÖ, which offers numerous events on dementia prevention and raises awareness.

Austria’s first social festival took place in the regions Mostviertel-Mitte (Lower Austria, 2015/16), Mühlviertler Alm (Upper Austria, 2013/14), Steirische Eisenstraße (Styria, 2012/13), and Lungau (Salzburg, 2011).
