Seminar: Interdisciplinary Seminar on Health and Social Justice

What claims do individuals have in regard to their health in modern societies and the globalized world? Is there a human right to health? How could it be grounded? Sridhar Venkatapuram, international expert in the field of health and social justice, will hold a seminar surrounding these topics and discuss his keenly awaited book Health Justice with the participants.

The following issues will be addressed in more detail:

–          Justice and the social determinants of health

–          Bioethics vs population health ethics

–          Health economics and ethics or extra-welfarism

–          Issues in global justice and global health

–          The capabilities approach and health justice
