Activities

Research Seminar
Every week during the semester, the fellows of the ifz, other interested doctoral students, or members of the academic staff of the University of Salzburg meet for a research seminar. There, they discuss their research projects with Clemens Sedmak or other members of the ifz’s executive board.

Talks and Lectures
In public talks and lectures, the researchers of the ifz regularly present their work conducted in the ifz’s research areas, as well as their most recent research results.

Scholars in Residence
Through a Scholar-in-Residence program, the ifz invites international academics to join our research centre to conduct their research at our facilities in Salzburg for up to three months.

Internships at the ifz
The ifz welcomes and supervises domestic and international interns with different academic backgrounds.

Work Groups
To ensure a functioning exchange between theory and practice, the ifz regularly organizes work groups. In those work groups, our researchers are confronted with practical questions and problems. Furthermore, they find a forum to present and apply their research.

Publication of Research Results
The ifz wants to make its research results known: through conferences and workshops, through media reports, on our website and in the form of (popular-) scientific publications.
