Buchner Elisabeth

Elisabeth Buchner has been working as a Research Fellow at the ifz since October 2013. She studied Political Sciences and Sociology at the University of Salzburg.

At the ifz, she mainly works in the field of empirical social research (quantitative and qulitative methodologies, evaluations, action reseach). The research fields she has worked in most recently include projects on the good life for people in need of care and their caretakers, ethics in the daily routine of hospitals, and ethics in the daily routine of politicians. Furthermore, she is involved in the measurement of social capital and the scientific monitoring of the mentoring project “Lernen macht Schule”. In the context of the EU-project RE-InVEST, she was responsible for the implementation of the project’s participative action research measures in Austria.

Currently, Elisabeth Buchner stays abroad for ten months in Bolivia to accomplish her master thesis entitled “Navigating multiple worlds – changing student identity of indigenous first generation college students in Bolivia?”.
